Music without justification

This is a playlist of music that I for some reason love.

Adding some audio

Adding audio one would have thought was a more straight forward thing. And well it is unless you want it to look the way you want it to look. I add the audio using the following method:

1. Install a audio player plugin and the one I chose was audio player super small and simple but that is also its shortcoming. I think I may have to look at HTML5 jQuery Audio Player at some later point.

2. Install a Shortcode widget so that I can slap the music in the side bar with ease.

But the player will look like this:

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

and one should be in the sidebar widget as well.

Space – the finite resource

They say space is infinite but my MacBook and iPhone disagree. I have been living with a MacBook that has about 5 GB of space that I use to swap around temporary stuff but yesterday some mysterious process unique to the Mac philosophy gobbled up what was left. I suspect the culprit magically whisking away space on my iPhone is Spotify.

Firstly I fetched GrandPerspective that may not be the best tool to investigate disk usage but it is free and the first I found. With its aid I found and deleted about 16 GB of stuff and even though it was just mere minutes ago I barely remember what it was but amongst the things gone were installation files for Xcode extra stuff iPhone backup files, all iPhone apps stored in iTunes, iTunesU videoes, and other Steam and some other huge software packages I never use.

For the iPhone the solution was to get the latest version of Spotify where they have actually implemented the system that deletes songs you choose not to have available offline. So now I have two GB free on the iPhone as well.

Better download something.

Productive day

Well I say productive day but the truth is I did not get a lot done. I however did get the stuff I intended to do with the blog done quite nicely. As always the behavior of the system was a complete mystery and baffled me. After hacking around in the code for about 3 hours I fixed the problem by ticking the boxes shown below.

I must now be just moments away from internet fame what with all of you being able to share it!

Banner material with milk

So after trying out a lot of different themes I settled on Portfolio Press and found the absolute best banner image possible.  Now however I just ask myself why was I doing this? What is the point of me having a webpage? These philosophical questions will have to be answered later. Hopefully the page will find its purpose with time without me knowing it.
